Good afternoon, Barbara:

Few mistakes undermine the authority of an expert faster than using the wrong word in your instruction. You use “route” which means a road or path when you meant “rout” which means dig into or unearth.

I know you were quoting in the original e-mail, but you could have substituted for the incorrect “try and” with “[try to].”

You’ve helped me with a galaxy of tips. Happy to return the favor. Bill
